Why microgreens, and why freeze-dried?

No vague claims. Here's what a tray of freshly cut broccoli, cabbage, sunflower, and radish microgreens actually does for your pet, and how we get it into a treat they'll beg for.

Nutrient density, not volume

Microgreens are harvested at the point where a seed has spent everything it has on the first true leaves. Gram for gram they carry substantially more vitamin C, vitamin K, carotenoids, and sulforaphane than the same plant harvested mature, so a dog gets the benefit from a treat-sized portion.

Freeze-drying keeps the good stuff

Baking a treat at 350°F destroys most heat-sensitive compounds. Freeze-drying pulls water out at low temperature under vacuum, retaining 98% of the freshness, so enzymes, chlorophyll, and sulforaphane stay intact with a crunch dogs love.

Greens dogs actually accept

Get your pets to eat their greens. We created treats and toppers to get them nutrient dense greens.

Treats stay treats

Our treats and toppers are meant to complement a complete diet, not replace it. Keep them a small part of the day and let mealtime do the rest.

Questions we get every week

Are microgreens safe for every dog?

The greens we grow, broccoli, cabbage, sunflower, and radish, are all non-toxic to dogs. Introduce any new food gradually, and check with your vet first if your dog has kidney disease, is on a prescription diet, or has a known brassica sensitivity.

Do these replace meals?

No. Our treats and toppers are supplements to a complete, balanced diet. Keep treats to about 10% of daily calories.

Why does the pouch feel so light?

Freeze-drying removes roughly 97% of the water. A 4 oz pouch started as several pounds of fresh food.

How should I store them?

Unopened pouches keep 12 months. Once opened, press the air out, reseal, and keep in a cool, dry cabinet.

Can a rabbit or bird have the dog treats?

Each treat is developed for one specific animal and should only be given to that animal. If you have dogs, rabbits, and birds at home, buy the pouch made for each of them rather than sharing one across the house.

What do broccoli microgreens do?

Broccoli microgreens are our richest source of sulforaphane, a potent compound known to activate cellular defense against cancer and reduce inflammation. They also carry vitamins C and K.

What do cabbage microgreens do?

Cabbage microgreens are high in antioxidants, with up to six times more vitamin C than mature cabbage leaves, which helps protect cells and boost immunity. They are also a good source of vitamin K.

What do sunflower microgreens do?

Sunflower microgreens offer powerful antioxidant, immune, and cardiovascular support, plus vitamins C and E.

What do radish microgreens do?

Radish microgreens have abundant vitamin C to strengthen the immune system, and they are rich in potassium and vitamin E, which help support healthy blood pressure and protect against arterial inflammation.
